The New Hampshire Women’s Foundation’s mission is to invest in opportunity and equality for New Hampshire women and girls, through research, education, advocacy and grantmaking.

Why women and girls? 

In spite of relatively recent increases in opportunity and equality for women in the last generation, women and girls still experience a wide variety of disparities, and the percentage of philanthropic giving dedicated to women and girls falls below a shocking 2% — with investment in women and girls of color just half a percent (%.05). We know that a more equitable future is only possible with increased investment in women and girls.

What do we mean by “women”?

The New Hampshire Women’s Foundation believes in an inclusive definition of “women.” We recognize and affirm that any person identifying as a woman is a woman. We are committed to fostering an environment that respects and values the diversity of gender identities and experiences of all people along the gender spectrum. As a gender justice funder, we know that when all women and girls thrive, our communities thrive.
