Teresa Younger is President and CEO of the Ms. Foundation for Women. She is an activist, advocate, organizational strategist, and a proven leader in the philanthropic and policy sectors. She’s spent 20 years on the frontlines of some of the most critical battles for comprehensive equity and the elimination of institutionalized oppression,
Prior to joining the Ms. Foundation for Women, Younger served as the executive director of the Connecticut’s Commission on the Status of Women and as executive director of the ACLU of Connecticut — the first African American and the first woman to hold that position.
Jennifer is the former President and CEO of Washington Area Women’s Foundation, a community supported foundation dedicated to investing in the power of women and girls of color in the Washington DC region. Jennifer joined the Foundation in 2008, providing strategic guidance while leading the program, development, and communications functions.
Jennifer has devoted her entire career to advancing equity and justice for women and girls. Prior to joining The Women’s Foundation, Jennifer served as the Director of Public Policy at the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Association and spent 10 years at the Women’s Congressional Policy Institute.
Jennifer was born and raised in New Hampshire and is a proud graduate of UNH.
