Megan Kimball-Rhines is a rising senior at the University of New Hampshire with a double major in Communication and Women’s Studies. As a 2024 Summer Intern for the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation, Megan will have the opportunity to learn under Lauren Wool, Director of Grantmaking as well as Crystal Paradis-Catanzaro, Director of Strategic Communication and Community Engagement. Throughout her undergraduate career, Megan has had the opportunity to be a member of many clubs and organizations as well as student government, which has sparked interest in other areas of study. For example, Megan recently traveled to the University of Delaware to attend the Biden School of Public Policy and Administration where she contributed to civil discourse amongst other university representatives from across the country. She has also studied niche topics such as the mental health of college students and lactation policies and was awarded the Award of Excellence for her research.
Megan is passionate about cultivating diversity and using intersectional feminist lenses to have difficult conversations to make positive change within her community. She is a ninth-generation Farm Owner and has lived in New Hampshire her entire life. Growing up on a farm Megan advocates for the support of small businesses and the importance of equity towards animals. On her days off, she also loves to read, garden, and spend time with family. Megan is extremely excited to have the opportunity to learn and grow within the NHWF community and is grateful for the opportunity to explore many interests accumulated over her undergraduate career.
