Tanisha Johnson is a dedicated nonprofit leader, racial equity educator, and social justice advocate. Tanisha brings over a decade of experience in nonprofit leadership and community-based advocacy. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology and a master’s in business administration, combining strategic insight with a deep understanding of human behavior and systems change.
As a mother and community builder, Tanisha’s passion for empowerment and activism is deeply rooted in her lived experiences and commitment to justice. Her work spans the intersections of racial equity, gender justice, youth development, maternal health, and grassroots organizing. In July 2020, Tanisha co-founded the Black Lives Matter Seacoast Chapter, which has since grown into Black Lives Matter New Hampshire (BLM NH)—a statewide organization committed to dismantling anti-Blackness and confronting systemic injustice. Today, Tanisha serves as the first full-time Executive Director of BLM NH, leading with vision, courage, and compassion to advocate for policy change, provide mutual aid, and educate communities across New Hampshire.
