Lauren Wool

Director of Grantmaking

Lauren Wool joins the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation as Director of Grant Making, where she will guide investments in leadership, health and economic security and serve and support the agency partners as champions for women and girls.

Lauren’s previous experience as Senior Director of Community Impact at United Way includes leading data informed and volunteer driven grant making (multi-year operating, emerging opportunity/venture funds, emergency response, capacity building); convening and facilitation of numerous collaborations (homelessness and substance use prevention, girl’s initiative, kindergarten readiness); and strategic prioritization of community needs (data collection, world café style discussion, expert interviews, assessing approaches, driving to consensus) focused on building the partnerships required to solve for them.

In pursuit of radical listening, including all perspectives, and finding common ground, she actively participates with the NH Funder Forum and DEI Affinity Group, a Trust Based Philanthropy Community of Practice, and Leadership Seacoast’s Program Committee.

Lauren lives in Portsmouth with her husband Jeff and their daughters Sabina and Liana. Having it all means juggling family with career, and when balanced, she enjoys yoga, the beach, reading, and live music.
