Allison has worked for over sixteen years in non-profit administration, specifically in the areas of visuals arts and grant making. She last served as the Grants Program Director at the Joan Mitchell Foundation, an artist-endowed foundation in New York, NY, where she was also active in the National Coalition for Arts Preparedness and Emergency Response. Prior to this, she was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the Grants Office of the Education Department.
Also an artist, Allison received her MFA from the School of Visual Arts and BA in Studio Art and Art History from Kenyon College. She has exhibited both in the US and abroad and is represented by the Proposition Gallery in New York, NY. Allison grew up in Missouri and Ohio, lived for many years in New York City, and recently moved with her husband and two daughters to Exeter, NH.
