- Have you ever considered running for a local office?
- Know a friend who would be great on the City Council or the School Board?
- Not sure how to balance family, friends, or job with elected office?
- Wondering where your skills and interest fit best?
We can help you!
We believe change begins at home. You don’t have to run for the Legislature or the Executive Council to make an impact. Start in your community! We’ve partnered with She Should Run, a national nonpartisan organization that provides an approachable starting place and network for women leaders considering a future run for office. You’ll be connected to resources that offer the education, support, training and mentorship you need to begin thinking about running for office. These community events will be organized by women in your town or region, with support from the New Hampshire Women’s Foundation.
Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican, Independent or avoid political labels, your participation on school boards, commissions, committees and councils can make your community stronger. At an event near you, hear from local women leaders about their experiences in office AND get access to the She Should Run Incubator, an online resource to help women “envision themselves in public leadership.” We’ll make it easy for you to begin thinking about serving in your community.
Let the Women’s Foundation and She Should Run help you kickstart your political leadership.
