This is a community-based wilderness learning project that serves girls who are at a high risk for school drop-out, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, experiencing abusive relationships, and a life-time of involvement in the corrections system. A new one-on-one mentoring program is being launched to help each AMTP girl develop positive relationships and build self confidence.

Big Brothers Big Sisters Greater NashuaBig Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem, Hillsborough County.
BBBS is helping children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one relationships, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Nashua and Greater Salem is recruiting and training mentors to work with 200 girls. The mentor/mentee relationship will provide the girls with greater confidence, tools to avoid risky behaviors, and inspiration to achieve educational success.

This focuses on recruiting and training mentors to address the growing waiting list of girls in need of a “Big Sister.” The mentor services are preventative and are targeted towards girls whose academic, social, and behavioral needs are greater than their current support system can provide.

Boys & Girls Club of Greater NashuaBoys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua, Nashua.
The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua serves girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 18, providing them with the opportunities and services that they need to succeed in life. We serve youth at our Grand Avenue clubhouse through Kids Club (ages 5-8), the Clubhouse (ages 8-12), the Stahl Teen Center (ages 13-18) at at Nashua’s 3 middle schools.

This is a nonprofit agency dedicated to helping victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Bridges: Domestic & Sexual Violence Support is a non-sectarian agency, and all services are offered regardless of race, gender, gender orientation, gender identity, gender expression, medical condition, HIV status, marital status, age, national origin, immigration status, religion, physical, mental or emotional ability, sexual orientation, political affiliation or language.

CASAof NHCASA of NH, Manchester.
Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire recruits, trains and supervises volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children in the New Hampshire court system. CASA is central to fulfilling society’s most fundamental obligation by making sure a qualified, compassionate adult will fight for and protect a child’s right to be safe, to be treated with dignity and respect, and to learn and grow in the security of a loving family.

CAC-CC is unifying their approach to child sexual assault in the North Country, which has been on the rise in recent years, the CAC-CC is continuing to build their reach and relationships with state agencies and hospitals in the region to create an effective support services network.

CHS is dedicated to improving the health and well being of at-risk children and young adults, CHS is expanding their mental health services for refugee women whose children are patients in CHS’s pediatric clinic. The level of support and treatment vary by family but the end goal is always to engage and empower families toward self-sufficiency.

Circle ProgramCircle Program, Belknap, Grafton and Merrimack Counties.
This is a summer camp and year-round mentoring program for at-risk teen girls. The “TAP” (Teen Adventure Program) will expand their successful camp program to include girls in their late teens.

The Danbury Community Center is run by a small staff and a large army of volunteers who work to make the town of Danbury a better place to live in. The center also holds various activities throughout the week such as Crafts, Yoga, Alcoholics Anonymous, Community Meals, and several other events.

Filmmakers CollaborativeFilmmakers Collaborative, Grafton and Sullivan Counties.
This is a documentary film project that illustrates the collaboration of a group of college students and female prison inmates to help raise awareness about the frequently dire circumstances of women in prison. The film intends to deepen the understanding and stir thoughtful reflection about who is in prison, why they are there, and whether our current system is working to meet the needs of the prisoner and the community.

This is a transitional housing program that provides homeless single women and their children with affordable housing and comprehensive case management. Their services include affordable housing, job skill training, individual and group therapy, transportation, and childcare.

The Girl Scouts serves more than 12,300 girls in New Hampshire and Vermont. This program empowers at-risk girls in New Hampshire and throughout New England by teaching them woodworking skills and how to safely use power tools to build with a team of girls. Grafton County Senior Citizens CouncilGrafton County Senior Citizens Council, Lebanon.
For more than 40 years, GCSCC has been the “go to” place in Grafton County for services that enable older citizens, and those with disabilities, to remain independent and safe at home. Their centers are also community-driven facilities where people stop by to have fun, enjoy a meal together, continue lifelong learning, and laugh and care for each other.

HAVEN NH, Portsmouth, Rochester, Salem.                                                                                                  HAVEN, formerly known as A Safe Place and SASS officially merged in July of 2015 becoming the largest violence prevention and support services agency in NH. HAVEN is dedicated to addressing public health through violence prevention and improving the well-being of children and families. Preventing sexual abuse and providing support for those impacted by domestic and sexual violence can lead to healthier and more secure children and adults.

Marguerite’s Place is expanding their childcare focus to include curriculum that will address the entire family’s needs in all areas of physical, mental, emotional, social and creative abilities.

MoCo Arts is a family-centered nonprofit arts education organization offering classes in dance, theatre and multi-arts camps for children ages 8 months to 18 years+. NHAB’s goal is to help people with vision loss continue to live safely and independently – at home, at work and in their community. The New Hampshire Association for the Blind offers a number of vision rehabilitation services that are individually tailored to your needs. Among these are vision rehabilitation therapy, orientation and mobility training, low vision services, education services for school aged children and counseling.

The NHCADV creates safe & just communities through advocacy, prevention and empowerment of anyone affected by sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking. They also host the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner continuing education program that provides medical professionals with the training necessary for them to perform medical/forensic evaluation of sexual assault victims, with additional training on how to testify in court as an expert witness.

OCF provides financial assistance for programs of childcare, recreation, education and enrichment for lower income families of Effingham, Freedom, Madison, and Ossipee. Children receive qualified, licensed care and supervision in positive environments which involve them in constructive activities that increase their esteem and help them to become good citizens. Parents apply for the program or care they want for their children.

The S.E.L.F Girls Empowerment Group is an after school program for girls ages 10 to 17 that works to provide support, life skills, stress management tools, and inspiration so that the girls can gain a sense of community, belonging and self-esteem.

Planned Parenthood works to provide, promote, and protect access to reproductive health care and sexuality education. To better provide accurate and complete information to teens, PPNNE is launching a Peer Sexuality Education Program in Manchester. This program will train teens to serve as peer educators, delivering sexuality education in schools, community groups and through one-on-one interactions.

The River Center is expanding their one-on-one Home Visiting program aimed at pregnant or parenting young women, the visits provide local support and education in the areas of child advocacy, shelter, food, money management, and social isolation.

Riverbend Community Mental Health serves individuals, families, schools and employers throughout the county, with offices in Concord and Franklin. Their services are delivered in many locations – in our own counseling centers, transitional housing sites, hospitals, schools, colleges, businesses and community centers.

Rochester Child Care Center UP ProgramRochester Child Care Center UP Program, Strafford County.
Rochester Child Care Center is expanding the UP Program Enrichment Classes that are offered before & after school in Rochester. They provide enrichment classes for parents and girls in elementary school grade levels.

 

RubiaRubia, Merrimack County.
Rubia is expanding the Sewing Confidence program by implementing three levels of classes in integrated sewing, applied literacy, financial literacy, business and employment skill development for resettled refugee women in Manchester.

 

Seacoast OutrightSeacoast Outright, Portsmouth.
Seacoast Outright is a support, advocacy and education organization for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and allied (GLBTQIA) youth ages 12-24 in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire, Southern Maine, and Northern Massachusetts.  This organization provides a safe space for these youth to meet, socialize, and support one another in an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment.

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) is being offered as an after school program for girls in grades 1-4 over an 8 week period. It is designed to allow female students to engage in hands-on applications of math and science concepts.

The SFTS program helps families in the Jaffrey/Rindge area to get back on their feet while also allowing children to have the continuity in their school experience
