Domestic & Sexual Violence
The New Hampshire Women’s Foundation has a special interest in raising awareness about domestic and sexual violence in the state of New Hampshire and beyond. We are committed to providing our audience with the information they need to understand and adequately address the multiple sides of these issues that impact all people. With education and working together, we can bring domestic and sexual violence to an end.
New Hampshire Resources:
2012 Statewide Statistics – The number of victims assisted does not represent the number of people experiencing domestic and sexual violence and stalking each year, since we know that many people do not reach out for help, or may not seek assistance until long after the assault.
The following websites contain a wide variety of information and research regarding domestic and sexual violence and stalking.
National Online Resource Center on Violence Against Women – VAWnet is a project of the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (NRCDV) and is supported by Cooperative Agreement with the National Center on Injury Prevention and Control, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse – The mission of the Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse (MINCAVA) is to support research, education, and access to violence related resources.
National Sexual Violence Resource Center – The NSVRC’s Mission is to provide leadership in preventing and responding to sexual violence through collaboration, sharing and creating resources, and promoting research.
National Resource Center on Domestic Violence – As part of a social change movement to end gender based violence, the NRCDV engages with and learns from, informs and supports systems, organizations, communities, and individuals to strengthen capacity to effectively address domestic violence and intersecting issues.
