web-rotatorThe New Hampshire workforce today includes many workers who struggle to manage family caregiving and work responsibilities. When a serious illness strikes or a new baby joins a family many working people must choose between losing wages and caring for themselves or a loved one because they lack access to paid family and medical leave.

Several states have met this challenge through paid family and medical leave insurance programs – we’ve been working with partners to answer key questions about what that could look like in NH.

She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry Screening

Join us with the Music Hall for a screening of the documentary, She’s Beautiful When She’s Angry. This film resurrects the buried history of the outrageous, often brilliant women who founded the modern women’s movement from 1966 to 1971. SHE’S BEAUTIFUL takes us from the founding of NOW, with ladies in hats and gloves, to the emergence of more radical factions of women’s liberation; from intellectuals like Kate Millett to the street theatrics of W.I.T.C.H. (Women’s International Conspiracy from Hell!). Artfully combining dramatizations, performance and archival imagery, the film recounts the stories of women who fought for their own equality, and in the process created a world-wide revolution.
