Cadence shares her First in the Nation experience

NHWI Board member Lisabritt Solsky brought her 10 1/2-year-old daughter, Cadence, to the First in the Nation event on Dec 7th, and here’s what Cadence wrote about the event:

My mom took me to a breakfast meeting with all the important branches of
government because they are all women.
I thought it was really cool because they spoke about how there would and
should be a woman president, maybe in 2016.  I thought that was cool
because I agree and I hope it happens.  I hope Hillary Clinton will run
This was important to me and it was interesting to learn about all of
these women in government.
The best part of the morning was meeting (governor elect) Maggie Hassan.
She told me to keep up on school and one day I could be like her.
She has a disabled son who was there, too, and I thought that was pretty
cool too.

Sounds like a great experience! I’m very proud to live in a state with such a high representation of women in public office. That’s interesting about their hopes for a female president. I wonder if Hassan, Shea-Porter and Shaheen supported Hillary in the 08 primaries.
